Category 2 and 3 Fire Ban

Hello Everyone
Given our unseasonably dry fall / winter and current warm dry weather there is an increased risk of wildfire. Union Bay / Fanny Bay Fire Rescue will be joining other CVRD Departments as well as Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland Fire Departments in implementing a Category 2 (Including Yard Waste) and 3 Fire Ban Starting April 30, 2024 at noon. Category 1 Fires (Campfires) are not included in the ban at this time.
All issued permits will be void April 30 @ noon.
