Fire Prevention Week Colouring Contest Winners!!!
Union Bay Fire Rescue saw numerous entries for the Fire Prevention Week Colouring Contest during the last few weeks. All entries can be viewed here.
Aurora, Olive and Sam were the lucky winners. By fire truck delivery, all 3 winners were provided with their choice of a family dinner gift certificate or family movie passes.
All entries received a Halloween gift for participation in the Colouring Contest from the Union Bay Volunteer Fire Fighter’s Association.
Big thank you to Fire Fighter/ Union Bay Volunteer Fire Fighter’s Association Chair Alexis Royer, Captain Adam Moyle, Fire Fighter Joey Tarnowski, and Fire Fighter Jim Hargreaves for their support in making this such a fun event. In addition, thank you to Fire Chief Terry Hoffart from Ships Point Volunteer Fire Department who was enlisted to draw the three lucky winners.

Fire Prevention Week 2021 is October 3rd-9th!
This year’s Fire Prevention Week™ theme, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety™,” puts the focus on educating children and adults about smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms, their necessity, and how the sounds they make help save lives. Whether you’re making one presentation or 100, there are all sorts of ways to get people in your community involved in Fire Prevention Week. Stock up on educational brochures, stickers, fire hats, coloring books and sheet pads, posters, Sparky the Fire Dog® value packs, and other materials that make great giveaways during your Fire Prevention Week.
