Union Bay Fire Rescue held its annual Fire Fighter Awards and Community Appreciation banquet on Saturday Dec 3, 2022. The event was held at the Union Bay Community Centre. Included in the celebrations were retired honorary fire fighters, CVRD Manager of Community Services Doug DeMarzo, retired CVRD Fire Services Manager James Bast, and Oyster River Fire Rescue Chief Bruce Green. CVRD Area A Director Daniel Arbour sent his regrets.
The banquet serves as an opportunity to recognize the department member’s long-standing service and outstanding commitment.
